Pushing the limit.Suddenly he was falling.Pushing the limit.
There were no reasons, no cause that he could think of. All that mattered was the truly overwhelming sensation of plummeting to one's death.
Freezing wind whipped around him wildly as he fell. Minutes seemed like hours, seconds seemed like minutes, and all the while there he was; free falling. Sky diving had never been one of his ambitions. In fact, heights scared the shit out of him. So as he fell, he closed his eyes as tightly as he could.
"You don't understand!" The screaming still echoed in his ears even through the wind.
"You can't do this!" He'd never seen

Unsung TragedyShe puts her high heels on, And feels for once like queen.Unsung Tragedy
On top of the world she dances,
To the stars that lost their dreams.
And her mind threatens to surrender,
To everything that wound up wrong;
But somehow her feet keep dancing!
Numb, with her high heels on.
Then she takes a deep breath,
Eyes shining brightly in the night,
Then gently, she purses her lips,
As in her heart, something ignites.
"I am the queen, I am!"
She sings at the top of her lungs,
To the stars that lost their dreams.
And for once, they became as

DetectivesLeonard Strange sat quietly at his desk.Detectives
The classroom was cold and empty. There were no windows just four white walls and one door. The door was positioned strategically by the front of the room, on the right side; a distance away from the rows of desks. Anyone planning on exiting the room would be forced to do so under the wary eyes of an instructor.
As he stared down at the single sheet of paper on his desk, Leonard realized without much excitement that at this precise moment, he could have gotten away with anything. He was alone. The room was empty. There was no instructor present.
Then, ju

CrosswalkLisa Kite walked down the sidewalk with her nose in a book.Crosswalk
So engrossed was she in her novel, that she didn't notice the strange looks she was getting from everyone else who was out for a walk that morning. They steered clear, sidestepping away from her path as soon as they looked up and saw that she was reading.
"Mom, she didn't look both ways!"
The little girl was bouncing up and down by the edge of the crosswalk, but Lisa ignored her. Tuning out those little annoyances was a learned skill that had become extremely useful, especially in situations such as this. Her eyes absorbed the word

Someday, you'll find it.Nothing can sustain each breath I take like horse hair against harsh strings can. The sweet sound as the violin cries, bleeding out every note. In that moment it is the only sound to be heard, as tears leak unknowingly in the audience of eyes. Silent as snowfall they listen, like statues on the edge of their seats. The violin ignores them completely, as the bow moves up and down up and down across silver strings. There are no lyrics for the solo in Schindler's List, but the message somehow hits home. Then as the last heart-wrenching note smolders slowly to a decrescendo, the audience lets out that breath that they didn't know they were holdinSomeday, you'll find it.

"You would play upon me, you would know my stops. You would pluck the heart of my mystery, you would sound me from my lowest note to the top of my compass. And there is much music, excellent voice, in this little organ; yet cannot you make it speak. 'Sblood, do you think I am easier to be played on than a pipe? Call me what instrument you will, though you can fret me, you cannot play upon me." -- William Shakespeare; HAMLET. |

Without warning, without sound.
With tendrils of ice that thickened,
As the tides of Summer unwound.
